The 19-person commentary team for the Asia Cup, which begins on August 30 in Multan, Pakistan, has been revealed. Sky Sports, a broadcaster, posted the list on their Twitter page. Rameez Raja of India is not a member of the panel, which includes four former cricketers of Pakistan. The panel includes one each from Sri Lanka, England, and Australia.
Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Amir Sohail, and Bazid Khan are all from Pakistan. Eleven former cricketers have played for India, including Harbhajan Singh, Sanjay Manjrekar, Gautam Gambhir, and Ravi Shastri. Atapattu, Damink Carr, Matthew Hayden, and Andy Flower are the representatives for Sri Lanka, England, Australia, and Zimbabwe, respectively.
There will be two parts of the event, with games taking place in Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Pakistan will meet Nepal in the opening match at Multan. The final and nine more matches will be played in Sri Lanka, while four matches will be played in Pakistan. The 2nd of September is the day of a significant game between Pakistan and India in Kandy.
