Unlike other AR glasses, the AirVision M1 is a pair of linked eyewear that’s made to help you multitask effectively.
In addition to revealing gaming phones, laptops, and other devices, Asus has revealed that it will be entering a new market at CES 2024.
The Taiwanese company’s first effort at producing wearable smart glasses that can show content when paired with a laptop or phone is the AirVision M1.
These smart glasses show a huge screen experience that is comparable to watching a massive 200-inch TV from three meters away thanks to its 1080p Micro OLED display and 57-degree vertical perspective field of vision.
Gaming sessions on a huge personal screen are possible when you pair these glasses with Asus’s ROG Ally handheld console or any other portable console that has a DisplayPort via USB-C.
For those who frequently travel and must work while on the road, these glasses are perfect. When working from a crowded airport lounge or a public location, the private large-screen project exclusively for you provides the much-needed seclusion.
You may use a wired connection to connect the AirVision M1 to your laptop or phone, and you can stream material over your device’s DisplayPort. Users can see content in 16:9, 21:9, or 32:9 aspect ratios, depending on the content. The FHD resolution and 1100-nit peak brightness mean you can enjoy crisp content even in environments with plenty of natural light.
The left temple of the glasses has a touchpad that can adjust brightness or activate 3D mode. The AirVision M1 also has built-in noise-canceling microphones and speakers for immersive content consumption.
The glasses also have 3DoF positioning, allowing intuitive and fluid navigation across virtual screens.
