Projectile velocities ranging from 100 to 5,000 feet per second may be precisely measured with the new Garmin Xero C1 Pro, a pocket-sized chronograph.
The Xero C1 Pro has an easy-to-use interface, button-operated design, and speedy setup. When used in conjunction with the recently released ShotView mobile app, thorough velocity data is arranged and conveniently available right from the user’s phone.
The Xero C1 Pro can record the velocity of airsoft projectiles, paintballs, crossbow bolts, shotgun slugs, and arrows in addition to bullets. It will show the projectile speed, shot count, average speed, standard deviation, and extreme spread following each shot during a shooting session.
Following the session, the device will display an on-screen summary including the extreme spread, standard deviation, and the lowest, maximum, and average shot speeds. You may also set the display to display kinetic energy and power factor when you enter the projectile grain weight.
The ShotView software, which allows users to label shots as clean or cold bore and remove outliers from session calculations, will instantly sync with the smartphone. Additionally, users may write extensive comments for individual pictures as well as the entire session, and they can give each session a unique name.
With dimensions of 3″ W x 2.8″ H x 1.4″ D and a weight of little over 100 grams, the Xero C1 Pro is compact enough to fit inside a range bag pocket, making it smaller than a deck of cards. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers it, allowing for up to 2,000 shots of data on a single charge.
Rain or shine, the Xero C1 Pro can be utilized thanks to its button-operated design, IPX71 water-resistant rating, and sunlight-readable, high-contrast display.
The Garmin Xero C1 Pro chronograph has a suggested retail price of $599. Learn more at Garmin.com/outdoor.
