Demon Slayer Season 4 will see us back with Tanjiro for more demon hunting as the epic anime moves into the Hashira Training Arc.
One of the most watched anime series ever, Demon Slayer has provided us with three captivating seasons of exciting travels as the main character Tanjiro battles demons and explores Japan in the early 1900s. Driven by his sister Nezuko’s possession, Tanjiro finds a whole warrior network devoted to eliminating these hideous beings, which draws him more into the continuous struggle to save humanity.
With the exception of the first three seasons, there has only been one legitimate anime film, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which is presently the highest-grossing film in Japanese history. In order to provide viewers of Demon Slayer Season 4 with the best of both worlds, Toho, Aniplex, and Ufotable have opted to release additional episodes of one of the greatest anime series on Netflix in addition to a compilation film called Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Training.
How does that work? We can explain and tell you everything else about Demon Slayer Season 4 while we’re at it. We have a list of the best anime shows to watch if you love Demon Slayer, too, if you already have all the information you need!
Demon Slayer Season 4 release date

Fans had a chance to see the first episode of Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc in theaters on Friday, February 23, 2024, in the compilation film Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training. Now, we only have a couple of months to wait before we get to see the rest of the season!

Is Demon Slayer Season 4 a movie?
Season 4 of Demon Slayer is not a film. But before the new season began, the final episode of the Swordsmith Arc and the first episode of the Hashira Training Arc were combined into a “compilation film,” a kind of theatrical production.
Demon Slayer has already done this, combining episodes from the Entertainment District Arc and the Swordsmith Village Arc to create Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village in 2023. The movie makes a lot of noise; viewers may see the first episode on the largest screen imaginable, and soon after the compilation film debuts, the season resumes weekly showings.

Demon Slayer Season 4 plot
In Demon Slayer Season 4, Tanjiro starts preparing to become a Hashira.Within the Demon Slayer Corps, that is a high rank that calls for an extraordinary amount of labor. He does this by collaborating with Himejima, a stern Hashira who pushes Tanjiro to the brink.
That would be giving away too much, but there will be far more surprises than just a few training modules. Chapters 128–136 of the manga are being adapted for Demon Slayer Season 4. If you’re reading the collected versions, Volumes 15 and 16 include the entirety of the Hashira Training Arc.
