A ‘CREEPY’ new AI feature is reportedly coming to Android phones soon, but onlookers say it reminds them of the “beginning of a horror movie.”
Artificial intelligence (AI) is used in the function to edit people’s faces in images to ensure that everyone is grinning and that no one was frozen in an awkward blink.
If and when it is officially brought out, the function, which was disclosed through a leaked advertisement, will be new to Android.
According to 91Mobiles, it is said to be coming along with the next Google Pixel 8 series.

However, the idea of altering people’s appearance in group shots is nothing new.
Professional photographers and image editors frequently use it.
However, it hasn’t prevented some from becoming alarmed by a procedure that some have claimed may “edit” people’s memories.
On X (previously Twitter), a bystander said, “I find something about this so deeply upsetting and grim.”
“Editing your own photographs to make individuals appear happier and more attractive.
“Basically, the capacity to modify one’s own memories. Awful crap.”
I find something about this so deeply upsetting and grim. Editing your personal photos to make people look happier, more photogenic. The ability to edit your own memories essentially. Awful stuff. https://t.co/njMcw4Mw5n
