Since the premiere of its first season in 2012, Kingdom, which is based on the well-known manga by Yasuhisa Hara, has gained a devoted following among fans of anime.
Fans of this critically acclaimed anime have been eager to see what new experiences the fifth season would bring, more than ten years after the show’s debut and four seasons in. And the wait will come to an end shortly.

Kingdom Season 5 release date
Kingdom Season 5 will debut on Crunchyroll on January 6, 2024, with weekly episodes.
Kingdom’s official Twitter account revealed the official release date for the fifth season of the Warring States epic on September 25, 2023. The announcement was accompanied by a crucial image that featured the Great General and other Kan Ki army soldiers.
Crunchyroll also streams the first four seasons of the Kingdom TV anime, and Netflix and Amazon Prime Video provide the live-action movies that followed.
Kingdom Season 5 plot
What then is the content of Kingdom? If you’re holding out for the fifth season, you’ve probably already seen all four of the episodes in their entirety. Still, we’ll provide you with a brief synopsis.
The historical series, which is based on a manga by Yasuhisa Hara, chronicles the lives of two orphan slave boys named Shin and Hyou as they navigate the Warring States era of ancient China (475–221 BCE).
Chapter 441 of the manga will be adapted for the fifth season, which will show the Koku You Campaign arc, which culminates in a titanic conflict between the forces of Qin and Zhou. Viewers will witness as Ryuu Tou, the General of the Zhao army and the Lord of the City of Rigan, ambush Shin’s Hi Shin Unit in an effort to take vital territory. Although much of the original cast will return for Kingdom Season 5, there will be several significant changes, including:

As well as this, the crew behind Kingdom Season 5 will be the same as the previous ones, ensuring that it will have a similar feel to the ones which lead it to become such a fan favorite.
Under Studio Pierrot and Studio Signpost, Kenichi Imaizumi, also known for Lost Song (2018), will return as director, Noboru Takagi as the series screenwriter, and Hiroyuki and Kohta Yamamoto as the music composers and Hisashi Abe as the character designer.

On November 21, 2023, Kingdom released a brand-new full-length trailer for Season 5.
