Disney has officially confirmed the release of Moana 2, a surprise sequel that comes far sooner than most people anticipated. In light of the impending release of the animated sequel, here is all we currently know about it.

Disney fans, you’re in luck! Moana 2 is set to release in theatres on November 27, 2024.
It has not been confirmed when the movie will then make its way to Disney+, however we’ll be sure to keep you updated when this is announced in full.
Moana 2 plot: What will the sequel be about?
Moana was a major hit when it released back in 2016.
While the exact details about Moana 2 are still largely unknown, Disney did release an official synopsis of the film alongside the brief announcement trailer.
The full synopsis for Moana 2 reads as follows:
“Walt Disney Animation Studios’ epic animated musical “Moana 2” takes audiences on an expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui, and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers.
