Black Mirror Season 7: All we know

Fans of Black Mirror are eager to return to the chaotic world of Season 7, so here’s what we know so far about the season, including the premiere date, potential cast members, narrative details, and more.

After a four-year break, Charlie Brooker’s terrifying dystopian anthology series Black Mirror made a triumphant comeback last year, and fans were not disappointed as Season 6 had some of the finest stories the program has ever produced.

It was an incredible hit on the streaming service, peaking at the top of the charts in 92 countries and remaining in the top 10 English-speaking TV rankings on Netflix for a month.

Here’s what we know about the show’s seventh season, which will address questions from fans about when to watch and who will be included in the ensemble that is always shifting.

Is there a Black Mirror Season 7 release date?

Black Mirror Season 7 will be released in 2025.

The show announced its return a year from now with six brand new stories, including a sequel to fan favorite episode ‘USS Callister.’

Though Brooker hasn’t given any more hints as to what the other five episodes will be about, Season 6 did focus a lot more on horror than the show’s previous fixation on technology, so the Black Mirror team could continue that trend for Season 7.

Black Mirror Season 7: What would the next season be about?

Plot details are being kept under wraps for Black Mirror Season 7.

The next season will likely continue its own format of anthology episodes, exploring the beauty and the horror of separate sci-fi and supernatural concepts.

Brooker has recently suggested that future seasons of Black Mirror could explore literally any topic. In an interview with Tudum, he revealed: “I’ve always felt that Black Mirror should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people – and myself – or else what’s the point? It should be a series that can’t be easily defined, and can keep reinventing itself.”

Considering how Season 6 dove more into mystery and supernatural elements than what we’ve seen before, perhaps a new season would continue to go down this route.

Brooker also told Digital Spy that he’d be keen to delve into the world of animation for whatever comes next. “I’ve never done an animated episode or a musical episode,” he said.

Black Mirror Season 7 cast: Who could star in the next season?

Currently there is no confirmed cast list for any future seasons of Black Mirror, but Season 7 would likely include even more established actors, as we’ve seen before.

Fans may get to see Jimmi Simpson, Cristin Milioti, and Michaela Coel again since the program announced the USS Callister sequel, but there hasn’t been any official word on their involvement as of yet.

Numerous well-known figures appeared in Black Mirror’s sixth season, including Michael Cera, Annie Murphy, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett, Zazie Beetz, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Rory Culkin. In addition, performers including Miley Cyrus, Domhnall Gleeson, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Jon Hamm have appeared in earlier seasons.

In the end, we may anticipate seeing potential A-listers in each and every episode of Season 7. There will be a ton of intriguing new characters to play in upcoming storylines, especially since Black Mirror is an anthology series.
