Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, just posted a video of the company’s newest robot, known as Optimus Gen 2. This robot can boil eggs and perform squats, giving it a very human-like appearance. Compared to Optimus Gen 1, which was unveiled in March, this is an improvement. In September 2021, there was another robot named Bumblebee; in comparison, the advancement in just one year appears to be accelerating.
This robot is a component of Tesla’s robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) business. Tesla places a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI), which means it uses AI technologies extensively. As a major component of Tesla’s goal, the company feels that this combination—along with specialized hardware for processing information, or inference hardware—is essential to attaining completely autonomous, two-legged robotic locomotion.
