The Heart Of Stone actor is all set to play the role of the evil queen
Gal Gadot remembers her audition for the role of the ‘Evil Queen’ in ‘Snow White.’ Los Angeles Gal Gadot recalled her audition for the live-action adaptation of the 1937 cartoon classic “Snow White,” in which she is set to portray the “Evil Queen.”
Gadot recalled the audition as a pleasant and thrilling experience for her. The ‘Wonder Woman’ star stated in a GQ video: “It was the first time I had to kind of audition for a project in a while,” Gadot remarked. “They needed to make sure I can sing because this is a musical.” Gadot then spent weeks getting ready for the audition. “So, for a month, I was working on the song, and then I auditioned,” she said of her preparation. And then we shot the song, and I got the role, which was quite amazing.”

In an interview with People, the actress who recently completed her spy-thriller-action flick ‘Heart of Stone’ opposite Alia Bhatt revealed that her daughter first assumed she would play Snow White. Her eldest daughter was not startled to learn that she was going to the villain in the upcoming live action adaptation, however her middle kid was displeased. “My middle child was surprised that I wasn’t Snow White.” When I informed them I’d be shooting ‘Snow White’ for a month, she was certain I’d play Snow White. But when I informed her, ‘No, it’s the evil queen,’ she laughed.
Gal Gadot and actress Rachel Zegler, who will play Snow White, previously graced the stage at D23 in September 2022, where they showed brief video of the two of them in costume. “Snow White is the girl you remember, but she is definitely made for the modern age,” Zegler remarked at the time. “There’s a lot of emphasis on what it means to be the fairest of them all.” For Snow White, it’s about discovering her voice and her agency so she may be a fair and kind ruler.” The live-action ‘Snow White’ remake will be directed by Marc Webb, with a script by ‘Barbie’ filmmaker Greta Gerwig, and will be released on March 22, 2024.
