On Saturday, January 27, Bobby Deol will celebrate turning 55. On this important day, the actor has surprised his fans by revealing the first glimpse from his next movie, Kanguva.
Sharing the first-look poster on Instagram, the actor wrote, “Ruthless. Powerful. Unforgettable #Udhiran #Kanguva.”
In the poster, Bobby Deol can be seen sporting long hair and a necklace of bones with blood marks on it. Having a stern look on his face, he is surrounded by hundreds of people.
Bobby Deol’s Tamil cinema debut will be in this picture. Alongside an ensemble cast that includes Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, and Ravi Raghavendra, Suriya will feature in the Siva film.
Deol revealed in December 2023 that the part he plays in the movie, Udhiran, takes him beyond of his comfort zone.
“Not only is this position far outside of my comfort zone, but I also don’t speak the language, which is another huge barrier. I’ll work on it, but I can’t even learn Tamil in a month or two, Deol said to India Today.
Produced by Studio Green and UV Creations, Kanguva is slated to open in 2D, 3D, and IMAX theaters nationwide later this year.
Meanwhile, Bobby Deol’s elder brother and actor Sunny Deol shared a few photographs of them on Instagram and wished him on his birthday. One of the images also shows them posing with their father and legendary actor Dharmendra.
“Happy Birthday My Lil #LordBobby #HappyBirthday #MyLife #Brothers #Deols,” he wrote alongside the photographs.
In the comment section, Bobby Deol wrote, “Love you Bhaiya you are my everything.”
Bobby was last seen onscreen as Abrar in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Triptii Dimri.
The film, released on December 1 last year, minted over ₹900 crore at the box office worldwide and was recently released on Netflix.
