9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 – All the information we have

The rumor mill has questioned the show’s viability in light of a departing cast member and concerning reports. But worry not—details from 9-1-1 Lone Star Season 5 have been verified.

The medical drama’s protagonists deal with life and death on a daily basis, but the TV program itself is in danger of canceling, which has some viewers worried.

Rafael Silva, who plays Carlos, shared a picture on Instagram as soon as reports about the possible conclusion began to surface. “I’m thankful for the family I’ve built on this show, no matter where the ship sails,” he added.

What, therefore, is verifiable regarding one of Fox’s most watchable television series? We’ve analyzed every update to date along with the statements from the official channels.

Will there be a 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5?

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 releases in September 2024, but Season 6 is uncertain following Sierra McClain’s exit.

McClain will not return as Grace for future seasons, and on June 7 Deadline claimed Fox is considering all options, including cancellation.

Entertainment Weekly confirmed “no decision” on the renewal had been made on June 11.

“Nowhere in that article stated a certain fate for our show,” actor Ronen Rubinstein said in response to the headlines. “But one thing I do know for certain is we will continue pouring our blood, sweat, and tears into these last few episodes and deliver our most special season yet. I better see all of you in September.”

Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade told Deadline in May, “We are excited about the new season. We’re going to see how that goes as always, and then make decisions about the future of that franchise.”

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 plot

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 will begin with a train derailment, a replacement in the lieutenant role, and the continued fallout of Owen’s brother’s death.

With McClain’s exit, we suspect the show will also write a natural conclusion for operator Grace.

Whether she gets a Grey’s Anatomy Derek Sheppard-style death off-screen or a happy ending that lets us know the character moved elsewhere is yet to be seen.

Grace was part of the original Lone Star cast, so we hope it’s an ending befitting of that stature.

There will also be 12 episodes in Season 5.

Who could be in the cast?

The surviving cast from Season 4 is returning for Lone Star Season 5, except Sierra McClain.

This might be the last time we see these actors as their characters, as contract negotiations continue to hit bumps in the road.

9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 cast:

  • Rob Lowe as Owen Marshal Strand
  • Ronen Rubinstein as Tyler Kennedy “TK” Strand Main
  • Jim Parrack Judson as “Judd” Ryder

  • Rafael L. Silva as Carlos Tomas Reyes
