Before launching on Valve’s Store, Diablo 4 was officially confirmed for Steam Deck.

Diablo 4 is making its way over to another PC store in a huge move for Blizzard, and they have good news about the Steam Deck.

Steam Deck action role-playing games like Diablo and Path of Exile are ideal. Blizzard is aware that switching to controllers for these kinds of games has been a freeing experience. When it comes to Diablo 4, we’ve spent more time encircling a set of buttons with our hands than a mouse.

Although we previously knew the game worked well on the Steam Deck, Blizzard has now officially announced that it will receive the coveted verified green tick. We believe there is a major catch to that, though: you have to use the low-resolution textures by default.

An optional 40GB texture pack can be installed when installing Diablo 4. It is strongly advised that you do not install this on the Steam Deck. You won’t be piling superfluous data onto your microSD or SSD in addition to ensuring the game plays smoothly, which it does.

We heartily suggest using the Steam Deck to play Diablo 4, as its sleep function doesn’t interfere with the game in any way other than logging you out. It turns into a fantastic pick-up-and-play game.

Verification of Diablo 4 for Steam Deck occurs when Activision Blizzard switches to Valve’s shop.

Not only is Diablo 4 coming to Steam, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) from parent firm Activision will also be available on Battle.net and Steam.

Activision started releasing its main games just on Battle.net in 2017, but with Modern Warfare 2, they changed their mind.

With the release of Overwatch 2, Blizzard initiated a new approach aimed at “breaking down” boundaries between groups, which is why it made this decision. The Steam community has harshly criticized the game, and it presently has a “overwhelmingly negative” review score along with Modern Warfare 2.
