Many understandably expected that Demon Slayer 4 would begin in April, the first month of the quarter when most of the series launched, given that the release date is set for spring 2024. But May also happens to fall inside the previously specified window for publication, indicating that the series hasn’t been postponed.
What will happen in the Hashira Training arc?
There aren’t enough chapters in the manga for a whole season dedicated to the Hashira Training arc—just nine. As a result, passages from the light book will also be adapted for the season. There will be a special one-hour premiere for the first episode.
The narrative takes place when the Demon Slayer Corps starts training to manifest their newly developed marks after the slayers use them to vanquish the Upper Moons. For the first time in generations, mankind have a chance to vanquish Muzan Kibutsuji and the Upper Moons after decades of strife. For most of them, though, the training required to acquire these marks is too rigorous.
