Luffy changes back into Gear 5 as the Marines are occupied dealing with the enigmatic foe. Saturn is still pursuing Bonney, Kuma, and Vegapunk. As Bonney continues pleading with Saturn to allow her and her father to leave the island, Vegapunk instructs Atlas to deliver a message to Bonney.
All of a sudden, the Pacifistas begin assaulting the Marines. Vegapunk was concerned that Bonney would one day be murdered by a computer that looked like his father when he was creating Pacifistas. He therefore made sure Bonney would never suffer from any of the Pacifistas possessing Kuma’s looks. Though Vegapunk believes it to be a self-serving dream, he assures Bonney that the Pacifistas will never abandon her.
Not long later, Vegapunk is viciously attacked by Saturn. In addition to being harmed by Saturn, Franky and Bonney worry for him. Kizaru moves to assault Franky, Atlas, and Sanji. But Luffy strikes the Admiral before Kizaru can assault Kuma and Bonney.
Luffy’s current mental state is comparable to Kaido’s fight with him in Wano; before turning the earth into rubber, he found the fight amusing.
